About Us

Virginia Tech Clay Target Team! Since 1974 our mission has been to have Virginia Tech Students out learning gun safety and competing in the world of shotgun shooting! We hope to get as many people as we can to join us as we practice, travel and make new friends. Year round, we shoot skeet, trap, sporting clays, super sporting, five-stand, and FITASC. We venture all across the country to compete against other schools and teams; even shooting in the ACUI Nationals every year!

How Often We Shoot

Our team has the privilege of practicing twice a week! We shoot trap at our local Izaak Walton League in Christiansburg, VA and we shoot 5-stand and skeet at our coach’s own Fun Gun Farm in Pulaski, VA. On any weekend we can, we send squads to travel all across the country to shoot in competitions for both ACUI and NSCA. We have found that the best way to improve our shooting is to compete as much as we can; we love going out and shooting anywhere that is throwing good targets!
